The Prodigal Father

Today’s passage is a fictional story told by Jesus to an audience of tax collectors, sinners, Pharisees, and scribes. In this story of a father and his two sons, Jesus shows us that the religious and morally respected people of his day were just as broken as the immoral outcasts. The story reveals our hidden brokenness and also reveals our common hope in the reckless prodigal love of our Father in Heaven.

Luke 15:11-32
