Blinding Grace

Jesus encountered two kinds of blindness in today's passage. The first was a man born blind who was healed because he saw the grace and mercy of God as something he desperately needed. The second was a group of Pharisees that tried to ensnare Jesus by interrogating the blind man who had been healed because they were blind to their need for the grace and mercy of God. The grace of God has this effect of healing the broken and blinding the proud.
