First Advent

Advent, literally “coming” or “arrival,” is the old Christian word for the Christmas season. During the four weeks of Advent leading up to Christmas day, the church looks back at the first coming of Christ and looks forward to the second coming of Christ. As we celebrate our first Advent season as a church we will look back to the story of Jesus’ birth and pray together for renewal in our church, our homes, and our community.
