Meaning for the MeaninglessThis Fall we will be reading through the Old Testament book, Ecclesiastes. Beginning and ending with the words, "Meaningless, meaningless, everything is meaningless" this book challenges the idea we can find meaning in our lives the way we might find a job, spouse, or a lifestyle or religion that suits us. In Ecclesiastes the wise and the foolish, the wealthy and the poor, the moral and immoral all live in a meaningless world. By looking honestly at how much of our lives can seem meaningless, this book points us outside ourselves to find true and lasting meaning in a redemptive relationship with God in Jesus Christ.
