Building a community that is finding renewal in Christ and striving to live with greater purpose!

David Lee, Pastor

Dave has lived in San Francisco, Union City, Walnut Creek, Concord, Albany, Berkeley, San Jose, and Fremont. In his former life he was a history teacher at Irvington High School in Fremont. When he left the Bay Area to study theology at Westminster Seminary California in San Diego he went with the desire to come back one day to start a new church.

In 2005, he moved back to the Bay Area with his newlywed wife to serve as Assistant Pastor in New Life Mission Church of Northern California in San Jose. In 2009 David was called by the Northern California Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America to plant a new church in Fremont.

He and his wife Susan have three young children. They enjoy watching movies, having people over at their home, and laughing with their children. David also cares way more than he should about the SF Giants, the Cal Bears, the SF 49ers, and the Warriors.

Pastor David, his wife, Susan, and the leadership in our mother church, New Life Mission Church of Northern California, began praying about planting a new church in the Bay Area.

A team of fifteen adults and ten children began meeting monthly to pray and dream about planting New Life Fremont. Pastor Dave was commissioned by the Northern California Presbytery to plant a new church in Fremont.

With the generous support and prayers of numerous individuals and churches we launched public worship at the Silliman Community Center in Newark.

Members of the original launch team, Scott and Helen Schleper, were commissioned along with their two boys, Solomon and Paul, to serve as missionaries with Mission to the World in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. They currently serve as teachers in a Christian school near Jakarta, Indonesia.

Rev. Richard Hong was installed as our Pastor of Outreach and Community Life.

Rev. Richard Hong was sent by the Northern California Presbytery to plant Risen Hayward.

New Life Fremont has been steadily growing. The majority of our growth has come from people new to the area, people who have been away from church and considering going back, and people who have never really gone to church but are considering Christianity.
